about joe bean
In 2004, a group of friends who all loved coffee, art and people decided we needed a neighborhood coffee shop; a place for connecting with others and inspiring creativity. Joe Bean was soon born out of that desire. As in any new venture, you can only see in part what it will become.  Joe Bean quickly became more than we could have ever imagined, a vital part of our community as the local meeting spot and hang out.

As Joe Bean grew, we saw many young artists take the stage for the first time. New visions were birthed over late night lattes. Friendships were formed. Informal business meetings were held. And neighbors encouraged each other over coffee and treats. In our community, Joe Bean has been a part of reviving the Business Improvement District of Webster, bringing arts and culture alive through our local Webster Village Days Art Festival and helping to launch the newly formed Webster Shakespeare Fest.

In March 2007, we decided to close down our Main Street location so that we could build a new location, enabling us to do even more of what is deep in our heart to see come forth. We are currently in process of finalizing plans for our new place. Please check out our café progress page to watch things unfold.
